It is of primary importance to me to try to match each Norwich dog or puppy with the residence that I think it will best fit in with. Each dog is unique: like people, they have different likes/dislikes, personalities, energy levels, and needs. The following questions are a guide to help through the initial screening process in consideration for a Norwich from me. In the section asking for references, please make sure your references are expecting my call. If you would like a list of references for me from people who have gotten a Norwich from me, I will be happy to provide names, emails, and/or telephone numbers.

All dogs/puppies are sold with a written contract (no exceptions) and health warranty.

Arcadian Norwich Terriers

Please answer the following questions numerically. Please do not leave blanks. If the question is not applicable, please put the number and a "not applicable" or "NA".

1. Your full name, address, email address, and telephone numbers (home, work, cell).
2. How did you hear about Arcadian Norwich?
3. What are the reason that you think a Norwich would be the right breed for you?
4. Are you on another breeder's waiting list?
5. How long have you been looking for a Norwich Terrier?
6. Have you done any research on the breed, such as learning about temperament, training, health concerns, etc?
7. Do you have a dog or dogs currently? Please list and describe by breed, sex and age. If the dog is spayed or neutered, please make notation.
8. If you have no dog currently, have you had dogs before? Again, please list the breed, sex and age, and how long you owned this dog(s) and what happened to this dog(s).
9. How many members are in your family and what are the names and ages?
10. Is this dog to belong to any particular member in your family?
11. Do you live in an apartment/house/other?
12. Do you own or rent? If you rent, would you provide me with your landlord's name and phone number?
13. Do you have a fenced yard?
14. If you don't have a fenced yard, how would confine the dog so that it would not get lost or injured?
15. Do you have a swimming pool?
16. Who will be responsible for:
    1. Housebreaking
    2. Training
    3. Taking the dog to the vet
    4. Poop scooping
    5. Grooming
17. Is there anyone home during the day?
18. Where would the dog stay if you weren't at home?
19. Where will the dog sleep?
20. How much time would the dog spend in the house with you or with family members on a daily basis?
21. Please tell me if there are any activities you expect your dog to participate in with your family (such as jogging, walking, traveling, socializing) or do you prefer a dog with a more sedentary personality/activity level.
22. If you travel or go out of town, who will care for your dog?
23. Do you plan to attend obedience training or puppy classes with your dog? 
24. Are you interested in showing your dog in any AKC events? If so,
    1. What type of events are you interested in participating with your dog? i.e., Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Earth Dog, etc.
    2. Have you shown dogs before? If so, what breed of dog and in what type of events?
    3. If you are interested in showing a Norwich in conformation events, do you have experience in grooming for show, or how would you accomplish this?
25. Are you a member of a local kennel club or training club?
26. Are you interested in breeding Norwich? If so,
    1. Have you ever bred or whelped a litter of puppies? When and how often?
    2. What did you do with the puppies?
27. How do the other household members feel about getting a dog?
28. What could you share with me that would make me consider you for a Norwich?
29. What makes you a good dog owner?
30. If your Norwich dug a hole in your yard or garden, or chewed something inappropriate (furniture, shoes, etc), how would you react?
31. If you have a problem or didn't understand an activity that your dog was doing, to whom would you turn to for guidance?
32. Pictures of your home, yard, and family are helpful, but not mandatory.

Please provide at least two references. These can be friends or family members who are familiar with your desire to have a dog, but I would also like references from your veterinarian, groomer, boarding facility, and training instructor if applicable.
